multiplayer endgame maps feels really off

im playing with 1 more friend and we reached the endgame map.

it seems like map is not shared for party members and each member can view their own map but not the party leader map.
this means that the none leader member cant really see or interact or share wisdom in the map progression. other member is just entering portals and clear random areas with 0 sense of map progression and choices.

waystones dont drop for none leader member.

when a player dies you cant revive and cant go back to the area from a portal. i get that this should be a harsh mech that party can exploit while when solo players die and map ends. i dont have a solution or a suggestion but this can feel real bad

overall seems like endgame not friendly at all for a party and we are really thinking on stop playing while we really enjoyed the campaign and really want to play poe2 but at this point its super hard.

does anyone else encountered such issues? maybe more issues?
what you guys think?

It's designed that way. The map is generated differently for each player but is shared among your characters on your account. Only the host can loot maps, this is the case in PoE1 and it working as intended, people that join your maps benefit the loot and exp without having to spend a map (and currencies).

+1 for some of this i would actually really love a system where if i am in someone elses hideout in their party i can view their atlas from their map device. i shouldnt be able to interact with it and put in maps/tablets, but it would be really good to see it and be able to discuss where we are going, whats happening etc.

that would be amazing.

I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
+1 same here.
Missing the joint effort and progression feeling in multiplayer endgame maps.
Perhaps lend mechanics from other games to enhance this.
For example, everybody can view and interact with the map device of the party leader and vote on whoever inserts a map (like in D4 voting to start an event).
Or at least see the map device you are on, to see the progression.

Also, I don't understand why waystones/maps can't drop for everyone in a party.
Even if you are using someone else's map device and Atlas, why would this be disabled for your map sustainment?
The same is probably true for getting skill books for Atlas boss points or other map-owner/party leader exclusives.
Party play should feel like a joint effort with equal benefits instead of feeling like tagging along.

Don't get me wrong—I am happy that PoE2 has multiplayer so I can play with friends. However, the multiplayer part could use more polish and tweaks to make it feel more fluid and integrated—integral, not an add-on.
There should be no question as to whether to party up or consider your progression.

Anyways, enjoying the game.
Thanks!
I kinda not see the point of those suggestions and think the current system is fine. Right now the map host usually link a handful of maps that people can look at and choose from, sure a UI for voting these maps wouldn't hurt but it's not something I see a high priority as the current system works just fine and people simply reply in chat instead of not saying a word and go with a vote that does the same thing in the end.
