Melee/armour: Scavenged Plating or Berserk? And supports?

Hey folks,

I'm running a pretty non-meta build on a Pathfinder (yes, armour is bad right now) but I'm keen to know where I should put my spirit for best results...

I have been running Herald of Ash, Time of Need, and Scavenged Plating. On top, I can afford a single 10 spirit support gem (I chose precision for more accuracy, since I have high attack speed and crit and no RT).

I see a lot of people discussing Scavenged plating so I have previously assumed its the best defensive skill for melee alongside Time Of Need.

But what about Berserk? Is life leech any good? Is rage any good? I do have some investment into both on my tree (one cluster of rage on hit, and two clusters of leech - Voracious, Goring, and Fast Metabolism).

Additionally, if I were to pick up some more spirit, would Vitality be the next best support, or Cannibalism?

I am also looking at ways to mitigate armour beiong so bad - namely by picking up a Cloak Of Flame to reduce my incoming phys damage by 40% (I switch up my tree to take some max fire nodes if i wear this and end up with 84% fire resist). However this drops my total armour by about 20% so it makes me wonder if scavenged plating then is greatly reduced in effectiveness?

Thanks in advance, keen to hear your thoughts, fellow exiles :)
