Poison does not count as killing a mob yourself

i've noticed that when i have mana on kill quiver and i kill a mob with poison that had energy shield on it it does not count as kill and i dont get my mana back. Normally i would not really mind that since for me mana on kill is whatever but if that happens that could also affect quantity and rarity of those mobs if it really does not count you as killing them which might be a big problem . This "bug" is easy to replicate if you just have mod on map "mobs have maximum life as extra energy shield" and you kill a mob with gas arrow. You indeed "kill it" but you dont get mana from it therefore my speculations is that it does not count you as killing them and i dont know if that is a bug or a feature but i really hope it is just bugged since killing any mob with energy shield pretty much gives you nothing from the positive mods on maps since you are not killing them

it also makes it so that when you get energy shield as modifier in simulacrum you get 0 rewards as thought not killing them

Would like to chime in here. Poison build specially gas arrow I have a pair of gloves that grant 65 life on kill. Yet when I kill an enemy with poison I receive no life. I have to assume this is unintentional. I’ve looked around online and don’t see anything mentioning what I assume is a bug. This isn’t a totem, minion or something where it can be considered something else killing the mobs. Me using poison is me directly killing it. Any clarification would be appreciated or am I just wrong?

Note it appears my game bugged. I tried relaunching as I couldn’t imagine not noticing the healing through the campaign. My map didn’t have any mods related to flasks or in kill but in that map I wasn’t getting flash charges or having poison count as my kills. Relaunching didn’t fix it simply doing a different map did. Must be some bug that can occur. MB

yep im pretty sure killing an enemy with energy shield using poison just does not count you as killing them yourself for some reason but it might actually be that they are just not considered as "killed" since they still have energy shield

you did not notice it during the campain since most mobs in the campain and white mobs in the map dont have energy shield but i can confirm that killing mobs with poison when they have energy shield does not count them as dead
