Xbox series X and all other Xbox performance
Hello Support,
There is only one setup that allows me to play smoothly without screen freezing, and that is the lowest graphic setting (Ultra Performance). Any other setup is terrible; when more than a few mobs are on screen, the game starts lagging due to my sparks. When I perform rituals or breach, it’s almost impossible to play. On the other hand, my brother is playing POE2 on PS5 and experiences little to no issues, even on the highest graphical settings. Are there any plans to improve this problem on Xbox? Thank you, E. How do you enable the "Ultra Performance" setting with xbox series x?

Upscale Mode: FSR, ULTRA performance (it will be a blurry mess)
If we go by there description. They are upscaling to 4k causing a big issue with maintaining performance. ---- Can us folks start asking for an option to DISABLE the upscale mode. Like PC does. I very much would like to play at my native resolution. Last edited by Vizr oo#4546 on Jan 24, 2025, 2:57:10 PM

Why would you enable an upscale to 4k option on a console that is already natively 4k?

My best performance setup was using the NIS scaler at 50% render resolution (1920 x 1080). The FSR Ultra Performance option showed the same frametimes on the overlay, but the visual fidelity was garbage tier in comparison.
At 50% NIS, I stopped getting the complete dead-stop in Sekhemas during the hourglass timer countdown room. Instead it's just a little stuttery. On any other setting though it's virtually unplayable and I'll take totally unavoidable honor damage if there's anything attacking me when enemies are spawning. It feels like the impact of icy ground effects is massively bad. The same thing happens whenever anybody's in town with the cosmetic that gives them icy ground trails. |

" Again why would you use NIR(nvidia renderer) on a console that have a amd cpu/gpu and hence you should be using FSR? (ALL typos lack of caps, punctuation and general errors are copyright Timbo Industries - Laziness Division)

I tried FSR with balalanced and quality of image was garbage.
So I also use NIS but got both culling options on. They help a lot. Still not stable 60 fps so I hope GGG can improve it Last edited by PxstelStxrs7713#8942 on Jan 24, 2025, 6:00:54 AM

" AMD Fidelity FX (FSR) doesn’t need AMD gpu (but I’d imagine it’s optimised for them) Nvidia NIS without a nvidia gpu literally does nothing at all, it’s locked to their hardware only. Xboxes use AMD cpu/gpu Culling is only thing in the your statement that makes sense to a performance change (ALL typos lack of caps, punctuation and general errors are copyright Timbo Industries - Laziness Division)

Does not help anyway. I am on PS5 pro and game runs decent at first. Till i play awhile then its a laggy mess. Have to not just restart PS5 but log into a different game and back.
I play on the AI driven ps5 pro Pssr on quality and hold 60 fps barely but only for a few maps then drops to 50ish in a few hours it will dip under 30 in hands and such and have to restart again or deal with the lag. But that FSR mode you might as well go play the OG Doom because the graphics about the same. |
