FPS unplayable after 0.1.1 patch
Since patch 0.1.1 PoE 2 has become unplayable for me.
Pre patch my 4070 laptop would pump out 144fps no problems. High settings all the way. Set on performance mode. If changed to quality I might lose 10fps. Post patch I can't even get 40fps. It's not a payable 40fps either, it stutters like crazy. Trying to fight any more that 2 or 3 monsters on the screen is insta-freeze, and wait until the death notice. No 24H2 patch update. Tried Vulkan. DLSS, no DLSS, everything off. I think the best I have seen is 60fps, but barely gets over 40. It doesn't really make any difference what quality settings I lower, the doesn't change. AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS, GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU, 32GB. Last bumped on Jan 26, 2025, 5:08:02 PM

Same for me with 4080 and I9

Same, fps drops have been really bad lately. I play on geforce now and regardless of the settings/rig I get very low fps. it drops to 10-15 in delirium maps as soon as any monsters show on the screen.

I also have a PC (aside from my laptop with the issues described above)... and fortunately that works perfectly fine.
In this case it is: i7-12700kf 32 gb GeForce RTX 3080 It is consistently good ~144 fps, with no stutter or lag Laptop mentioned above is consistently bad with ~30-40 fps, really long loading times Full rrer-install of game did not help. Other games on same system haven't changed. Luckily my PC soothes my obsession. Happy to provide any logs to devs if you can advise. Last edited by RunWithKnives#3971 on Jan 25, 2025, 5:44:24 AM

I love this game, it's awesome, even though it has some serious performance problems after patch 0.1.1. Game worked fine before.
3060 rtx 12GB, 32GB, AMD Ryzen 3700x 8 dual core, playing on linux (I noticed there's no shader pre-caching after this patch) Unplayable on lowest graphics settings with NVIDIA DLSS set to ULTRA PERFORMANCE, I tried playing with NIS resolution upscaling but DLSS seems to work better. Some maps work better, but it's still horrible after this patch. FPS is 5-15 until (I assume) every texture loads, then it goes from 20-60 depending on the number of effects and/or mobs on the screen. Game is unplayable with party members - 3 person party makes the game lag as if it was due to latency, mobs sometime just appear as if they just loaded in. Essentially it's worse with extra people. My friend has 4070 rtx (not sure about other specs but it's in line with the GPU), pretty much same experience as described above, also playing on linux. Other friend has 1660 gtx (same ram as my spec, better CPU, plays on windows) - game runs better than both specs above, but crashes after playing for about 1:30h ALL the time. This happens to all of us - on enetring a map, tiles are missing/empty and then they load in. When killing a mob that has an ability with long activation time, audio effect doesn't get removed and lasts for the full duration. Hopefully this info helps, looking forward to new patches! Out of curiosity, have any of you tried disabling/unchecking reverb in sound settings? Also delete shader cache folder on PC.
I was getting stutters on a 4090 + 5800x3D until I unchecked that setting and dropped sound channels to Medium with it. |

This game has manage to crush Gforce Now - Performance after the patch. No matter what rig you get - RTX 2080/3060, 1080p/1440p, Low/High settings, make no difference.
Audio Channels set to lowest, reverb off. CPU time MS goes high in open maps - more game logic in open space probably - so frames drops. This type of maps like Savannah/Steppe/Woods have become unplayable in T15. It goes even lower then 20FPS. Breach is impossible. I like most of the aspects of the game but this is poor execution on performance side. My guess that there was no work on optimization side. Tight this to one shot/off-screen mobs it becomes really frustrating. V-Sync off does help a little but still goes low. Update for GFN: try turning V-sync to LOCK, in my case helped.
