About to quit.

Never played poe1 nor diablo and i'm not understanding much of this game. had 3 characters reach act 2 bosses then i always would get weak and need to ask for help for the final bosses.
I need a general poe 2 guide and a noob's build that will allow me to reach cruel 3. anybody can help? Last bumped on Jan 20, 2025, 1:49:10 PM

Basically, the individual bosses in early game are DPS/life/resistance checks. Playing solo self-found in an early-access game is sort of a sucker's move and only for the experienced, which you clearly admit you are not, so if that's the way you've been going, I suggest hitting the trade forum immediately (it's the site's base URL with /trade2 for Game 2).
Early game, you really do want to prioritize those 3 stats and possibly only those three stats with your gear - you may have to do a little wiggling with your attributes and also think about movement speed, but when it feels like it's taking you too long to clear a map, get a new weapon. If you die from something you weren't expecting, gear for life and elemental resists. You won't be able to cap out elemental resists until quite a bit later, so just try to get whatever you can. Hope this helps. Then again, the endgame stuff, like the garbage visual bugs with Vile Vultures and other nasty BS that kills you without even knowing what hit you, may make you want to quit anyway. At least in Elden Ring, you can tell what did the murdering. |

Go to maxroll(GOOGLE IT) choose poe 2 and select builds. Find a leveling build for thi build you whant to play. Minions is proberbly safest for a beginner.

Getting thru ACT 2 is probably the roughest part of this game.
Sean_Clannery's recommendations are very good, and I'm confident you can get thru it if you follow what he said. Otherwise, the game starts to get a lot easier after ACT 2 as long as you are kinda following his tips. There will also be certain mods to look out for that'll compliment your build strongly - like for example, I have a frost sorceress, and once I got a wand that had +3 levels to cold skills, the entirety of cruel mode was a cake walk. I didn't need to follow any build guides, I just did what I thought was fun. But certainly it is a bit rough getting through ACT 2 when you access to gear and skills is pretty limited. |

There are plenty of memes of how people see this visually similar to Diablo, but get wrecked once they start seeing bosses.
The theme is similar and it stops there. Mechanics, difficulty, playstyle is vastly different (and more difficult) and you should treat it as a different game with little or no training wheels except forums and other players lol. |

If you are having this level of difficulty you need to just watch Youtube videos and follow a guide. If you cant do that, dont play this
