Witch BloodMage Help!

I'm currently a level 46 bloodmage witch. I feel extremely weak and have experimented for a while, trying to maximize my damage (which has been difficult). Does anyone have reccomendations or advice on what I should do? Thank you!

Hexblast is pretty nice imo.
Goes well with crit ascendency.

Blasphemy + triple curse (despair, enfeeble, temporal chains) for huge survivability.

There is a thread "stop killing yourself" (or something like that) in the builds forum which got me started.

Op's post is from jan 17, I would guess he has figured things out or moved on.

If not feel free to reply OP.

For me I just took away the passive effect that causes you to do 100% health cost for your spells until I could unlock the second ascendancy that gave me health drain.
