Where's the Upgrades?

Maybe it's just my bad RNG, but since i've hit "end-game" upgrades are extremely hard to come by. I've tried crafting using all of the orbs and exalts, the trade-in table thing, and i pick up almost every piece of gear. However, I'm still unable to find gear upgrades unless I hit the trade site. Any decent gear that I've had drop or craft usually comes with a sacrifice as I usually only get 3 decent mods and 3 crap mods(light radius, mana on kill, accuracy). I've even used many choas orbs but end up bricking the item because the ONE good mod gets changed and the other 4-5 crappy mods remain untouched...this crappy RNG also makes it hard to progress in mapping which is already very punishing. And getting Tier 1 - 5 Maps on a Tier 10 map is total BS...but maybe it's just me and my bad luck RNG. Rant over...

Hi, it looks like you play solo self found in a trade league. How poe is design makes tradi ng gear always a faster way to upgrade your gear. If you want to craft your own gear, it will slow a lot your progression. Players go to Ssf in order to slow theyre progression and play for longer without burning out. If you want to go faster stop using ex, chaos and div on crap gear and just trade with other player. For map sustain if you roll your map for waystone quantity and do mapboss whitout dieing you should way oversustain to the point you could 3 to 1 your map for good roll. Jusing breach ATM is also giving a lot of waystone.

Yeah i play ssf. Makes sense to just trade but I can't get any divine orbs to drop, and the market prices seem to go up all the time. Oh well, ill just keep grinding with fingers crossed lol

You have to trade or you'll never progress. Unfortunately that is almost impossible on console and just a pain in the neck on PC. Not to mention the scammers, lack of responses to whispers, and sketchy 3rd party websites.

The game appears balanced around buying gear rather than crafting or finding it.

Yup, it sucks end game for console, its fun going through the acts but than getting those uber neato gear drops on maps it seems to never happen, i just deal with rng and build around builds with the gear i have , though i have buddies who "pay" for gear i can never see myself ever buying items for this type of game unless its cosmetics lol... yeah i know weird but yeah lol

I have no issue at all for trade in thé game, just use your phone to send message ingame. You have a lot of pricefixers so if you always go for the cheapest item they will for sure never answer you, you have to buy at market value they will answer you.

Endgame mapping is screwed for console ATM, it s Impossible to bé efficient and make good cuurency without loot filter you should avoid it and go for side content like sanctum and trail of chaos. Since duping stoped sanctum is very good money especialy with Desperate relic you could do 1.5 to 2 div a run with 2.5 run and hour. Trail of chaos is good to people farming the boss for adorn jewell the price of fragments are ok to farm.
You have few way to make money on console, I was able to farm enought to make a statstaker gemeling with few hundreds of div but you have to avoid mapping.
