Log out in Sekhema ascendency selection room

I've seen countless people (in Facebook PoE 2 groups) mention that they ran Trial of the Sekhema and wanted to do some research before picking the ascendency. Some logged out for the night and when they came back and logged in they were outside of the trial and had to redo it to pick ascendency.

If you want to be hell bent on that ascendency choice is a permanent choice, then at least give the players the ability (and time) to research it without losing their chance to pick - they did complete the trial after all.

Now thinking about it, another thing that popped into my mind is; you have to remember that the first time some people see the ascendency options is in that room so it will take some time for some if it has to be researched at that time. Perhaps another way to do it is that you can atleast touch the ascension shrine and after this point you can make your choice outside of the trial? I'm thinking about this because I realized that you are technically forcing people to stand still in that room until they've made their decision, you are potentially inadvertantly stopping peoples playtime right then and there.

Assuming you're talking about the first trial, yes that would happen. Instances aren't permanent, they get cleaned up after 15 minutes or so depending on resource requirements. It's written in the game text that this happens

Future trials, you just need to click on it and get the points, you don't have to spend them there and then

I imagine the ability to "save" the choice got removed when it no longer became possible to switch ascendancies, which sure was a decision

Yes exactly. This issue will specifically be regarding the first time you ascend.

I just saw a bunch of people complaining and wanted to forward their concerns and when I was writing the message I kinda started agreeing that something needs to be changed, because having to pick before you can continue playing, it's a permanent choice and you need to pick now because your instance vanishes if you logout, those things just doesn't go well together, I think. Especially for newer players. Us game vets have probably already done research outside of the game - but most people don't.

i opened chrome to see what the adencency options and when i tabbed back in i was logged out and was back at the beginning of the trial. do i have to take the trial agian because i didnt pick in time
