Auto pickup of items / currency
I'd love to have auto pickup - at least for currency (orbs etc.), because it's such a struggle to pickup individual items on console.

this isnt Diablo its always been like this, only gold is auto pick up, or there was something else that used to be auto pick up in PoE 1 but for the love of me i cant remember what it was.
However i do think that when youre doing a Breach or simulacrum there should be soemthing like if X ammount of splinters drop in close proxy to each other they kinda "mould together" that way you can pick 1 or 2 stacks with like maybe 7+ splinters rather that loads of smaller drops but there would have to be like a AoE on how close they need to be to self stack on the floor if possible not sure if it would be but defo a good sugsestion maybe the devs will see this and think about it |

Way to go to bring arguments to a discussions. "this is not d4" and "it's always been like this" will get you a long way in life.

PC player:
In a split second, he precisely clicks on the drop he wants to pick up and continues playing. Even during combat, it is easy and when we have many items in one place, it is not a problem. Console player: There is no cursor that he could use to pick up items and the only thing he can do is go to the place where the items are and: - count that he is within range of a given item because with many items in one place, there is no way to determine exactly where the item we want to pick up is. - when we are already standing by the drop, the game automatically targets one item and the player has to point the right stick at the item we want to pick up. - with many items, it can be very problematic to point at the item we want to pick up. - when we are standing too far away, we have no idea which direction to go to pick up the item. All this makes the dynamic exploration of maps tragic because often all this happens during combat and the player trying to pick up a valuable item dies, they do not pick it up because, as I wrote, it is not as easy as on PC. And picking up items outside of combat in its current version slows down the game very, very much. |

these new players don't understand poe, and want everything simplified, shit from a failed generation

" This has been the developers' stance since the beta of PoE 1… They believe that players should stop and pick up items and currency from the ground. Certain QoL improvements in this regard only appear in extreme cases, such as when a league mechanic generates hundreds of "shards." |
