One Portal Death Feedback

@GGG I'm sorry to say but one portal death is the wrong path to walk down it is absolutely game and soul destroying to not have a chance for a revenge kill on the very monster that killed you, to not have the ability to get your own back and have your revenge kill sux even just 1 chance.
I have a compromise if your hellbent on keeping this horrible mechanic in the game.

1 to 3 maps get 6 portals
4 to 6 maps get 5 portals
7 to 9 maps get 4 portals
10 to 12 maps get 3 portals
13 to 15 maps get 2 portals

ALL boss fights get 3 portals.

This is a perfect game progression methodology as it greatly helps a new player and at the same time the stakes raise every few maps topping out at the end to only 1 chance at the 3 highest tiers of maps and these portals are not only death portals it's the total numbers of portals period.

This way your not left feeling robbed if you get stomped on, you still get that chance to prove yourself, failure is not the end result.

I choose 3 portals for boss fights because yea learning the mechanics but the old poe1 6 portal defense is not in line with poe2 vision and making deaths count 6 portals is too many at what is the riskiest high reward play.
3 portals will work well here it's punishing but not demoralizing you get to make 2 mistakes learning the mechanics and the third time you die sorry mate it's back to the docks with you, this is also aimed at the new to moderate, casual player.

The hard core purist players will ALWAYS beat any mechanic you put out there so they may not care about one portal mechanic because they will ALWAYS be zooming around in there borderline broken builds smashing down any walls you put in there way.

I'm more aiming this at the new, mid tier and casual gamers that want to get stuck in your game, for example on boss fights you see these guys run in and basically one shot the bosses, well GGG I will never reach that level of play but I still would like to have the ability to fight in the higher tiers one day but I realize I'm gonna need a few extra portals to do that please.
And believe me even when I had the 6 portal defense in poe1 EVERY death counted when you in the end game.

Even if you just every map two portals would be fine just please give me the chance to get that revenge kill dopamine hit.

best idea and reason for more than 1 portal ive read so far +1 from me.
All the stacked death penalties are too harsh IMO. We aren't out here trying to save lives it a game. XP loss on top of one portal is a slap in the face.

GGG make shit extra annoying just for the sake of being 'hard'. Its a great way to ruin an otherwise good game.

one death on normal maps doesnt bother me but one death on bosses is bad design flat out imo. i dont mind a challenge, i'll happyily die to a boss X number of times learning the fight if its fun. but having only one attempt isnt fun nor am i able to ever really learn the fight that way. something like this would be a pretty well reasoned middle ground imo.
You must have missed the part in the interview when they said boss fight will have 6 portals on low tiers, with higher tiers having less.
