Unable to stash uniques in the unique tab unless I have the stat requirements to equip said unique

So, this is an odd one. I bought the unique tab but quickly noticed that I couldn't stash certain uniques. Finally figured out that I cannot stash a unique unless I can equip the unique. I tested this by respeccing attributes and then trying to stash a unique. Playing on Xbox if that helps.
