Account merge - points transfer?

Hi,

I've been waiting for over a month now for support to merge my main account (lost access due to some shenanigans with the Steam account merge while adding PoE2 EA) with this one - an old account from ages ago.

While browsing the forum to see if anyone actually reported getting help from support, I read in one of the threads that supposedly only MTX items, not points, can be transferred between accounts. Is that true?

Should I spend all the points that were wrongly assigned to this account on MTX to make the merging process faster and easier, and to ensure the points won't be lost? It could also save me a few mails, and by extension a few months in the support ticket queue hell.

Just a heads up im about an hour away from waiting for 53 days for support to finish my mtx transfer from xbox to pc gl exile stay sane :)
