How exactly addition of new content will work? Confusing and Conflicting terms used.

My question is pretty simple: How the process of adding new content will look for players?

I've heard a lot of different terminology used to describe basicaly the same thing (i think). People call it leagues and economy reset and im confused.

What i understand now and please correct me if im wrong:

- We get a big content patch with new classes and mechanics
- Standard League that we are currently playing goes to background but availible
- New Content "league" comes with all new start.
- Old character / Stash loot / Currencty etc. is not availible in new content.

Is that correct? Looks fine until i think about new content and balance patches and what they are going to affect.

I didn't hear them say what specific content was coming, but pretty much what you said. We'll get a new League and what we have now will become Standard. If you wanna play with the new changes, you'll have to start a new League character and run the campaign again. Your stash tabs will carry over, but will start empty as well.

New league and economy reset bascally mean same thing: current characters wil lbe moved to some other legacy league or someting, and in order to play updated stuff we wil lhave to create new characters with al lfresh start.

In poe1 typically new league would aslo mean new league mechanics, hovewer in early acess this migh not be the case.They said so in q/a .

So at some point in early acess we might be starting from 0, with some major changes, but not necesarily with new league mechanics.

Those who don;t want to be starting from 0 will almost certainly have an option to just continue playing with what they have , its jsut going to be seperate form those that want a fresh start after updates.

What is certain is that when the game will officially release any EA characters and related progress will be downgraded from Standard League and moved into a EA Legacy League . They probably are going to do similar reset at least once or twice during the EA lifespan but the details about it are not fully confirmed yet .

johnathan went at length on this that they re trying to figure out the best way to push new content. it s sth along the line of new league will have new content and skill balance pass. could be a mix of acts, class, new league. they re still trying to figure out what they will put in the next reset. just they cant work on all of them so it s not sure what we will get.
