Rituals? Are we talking about the same thing?

I always see players posting and talking about rituals... Are we talking about the ritual map nodes that show up on the atlas? And if so, why are they so sought after? I saw a post that mentioned getting an audience with the king, but when I look at the ritual rewards usually it's junk available. If anyone could explain this or drop a link to a good video i'd appreciate it.

Yes that's the rituals.
I think because there is a chance you get the item "An Audience with the King", that lets you fight the King of the Mist, when you complete the rituals on the map. A boss that can drop the Ingenuity belt. |

People want the belt. It's bis for virtually every build in the game besides farming breach maps with HH.
Its currently a massive pain to get audience, you can farm ritual maps for like 6 hours and realistically not see one with a 8/8 atlas tree. Average is more like 2-3 hours. And this is with a build that is doing maps in at most 5 minutes. Forget about it if you clear is bad. |

" I would say, a lucky vaal on the ingenuity, outclasses HH without a doubt. I mean, if you are clearing breaches, you have already the high tier lightning damage to attacks and lightning damage. (sorry to assume class and gear, but it is what it is) And you know what is better than having 2 of those rings? Yeap, having 4 is better. |

Yeah, rituals are on par with strong boxes when it comes to high risk-no reward. Basically blue shit items, occasional exalt, that's it. Vendors have better gear than rituals.

It's hilarious that a belt that isn't really a belt is the best belt.
It's worth noting that +2 maps are a dangerous thing.
They can cause players to get out of their depth - playing maps that are too hard for the items they currently have. Herp Derp. |
