WASD getting randomly stuck in one direction

As the thread title says, WASD movement is occasionally bugs out and assumes one direction key is treated as pressed when it is no longer pressed. It is getting fixed by pressing that key a few times.
Playing on a HP Envy laptop using built in keyboard, found a reddit thread suggesting USB 2.0 ports could be a problem but I don't think it applies in this case, also mouse is operating normally, all USB ports in device manager appear to be 3.0 or 3.1.
This happens only in poe2, didn't ever occur in other games with WASD movement.

Same thing is happening here on my desktop. Mechanical keyboard, custom swithces no issues whatsoever outside of this game.

This is happening so often at this point that it's nearly unplayable. Extremely frustrating to lose control of my character during a boss fight.

I think I figured it out.

The "Quick Accent" feature of the Microsoft Powertoys was causing it.

It activates when you hold down a letter key like WASD and spacebar together. This is very common in the game, and was triggering Accent Keys which changes the key to a special character, thus messing up the movement.

I do not have Powertoys on my Windows and this issue happens to me from time to time as well. Died in maps once or twice because of it.
