Failure/Death on entry #Trial of sekhemas

So i am on trial of sekhema,i am already on the last boss i choose a boon that increased my minion damage by 50% but random afliction and i got shattered shield,oh well its fine i think...then i straight of dead/fail on entry on the last boss, is this normal?
