Fungus boss sometimes randomly instagibs

Hello!

Im wondering why im sometimes dying on fungus boss. Theres no telegraphed attack and im constantly moving (spark) to avoid barrage or anything but sometimes, including a moment ago, im just instagibbed by god knows what.

Bear in mind i've just turned off EB to check the damage. With grim feast i have sth like 20k shield + mana with MoM and i still died instantly.

Is it bugged in some way, has some one shot no matter what mechanic i still cant figure out or bugs CI in some way and goes throu shield?

You might be stepping over overlapped DOT zones or be so close his barrage doesn’t really look like it’s fully coming out and marching gunning you down in a fraction of a second.

Do you mean the boss that has these patches of exploding fungi? One large circle in the middle with a bunch of them and some on the outside of the arena?

If so, the boss has one attack that spawns a big boulder in the middle, it stays there for a few seconds and then it is launched at your position. This does huge damage.

Could this maybe be the attack that killed you?

Also, depending on the Boss Atlas Passives you have spent, the boss may be higher/lower level and have different attacks.

Yes its the fungi boss. The boulder doesnt do that much even with crazy mods.

Im alway bossing at t18 maps with crazy mods but theire not as cancerous as t17 maps were in poe1 :P
