To much bullshit is one-shotting you
I feel like a lot of bullshit is killing you without counterplay. It feels really bad dying to something you cant react/see.
Breaches with corpse explosion are a good example. Or those chaos flowers on the ground in the Bloomfield which blend to much with the ground. Burning ground is also just a pain in the ass that just feels bad in general to play. I dont mind that stuff being in the game, but when they stack on top of each other and they just one shot you throught +75% res with X health and N energy shield, thats when it starts to be a tilter. Just recently I dodged an stacked explosion just to get pushed into it again because of those flies that somehow can push you through the whole map. That felt really bad especially because I did the right thing just to get punished for it. Donnu, maybe I am just ranting. What do you guys think? I agree it's a frustrating issue but have mixed feelings on it.
I think there should be affects that 1-shot underprepared characters or players not paying attention to obvious telegraphs. It's part of what makes things challenging and progress rewarding. But with the amount of variables that can affect a maps difficulty it can take a long time to get a feel for what mods at what tiers a build can handle safely. Especially with the instance being wiped upon death, we cant jump back in and see if we died to a careless mistep or if our build just cant handle that tier/mod. And with how rare some of the boss encounters are it can be a very long and draining process to learn their moveset 1 death at a time. On my third attempt on Xesht I saw him charging up his finger guns so I stopped casting spells and got ready to dodge the thing. But apparantly Xesht studied under Margit the Fell, cause I rolled like 5 times thinking it was about to go off before he actually shot and killed me. Now i just need to collect 300 more splinters while not forgetting that timing. I think i'd prefer some of the hazardous bullshit stay, but having more chances to bash my characters face against it before all the maps content gets wiped. |

My bane are the porcupine posion darters. When a group shoots and you lag or get stuck on a pebble = instad dead

The really fuckin anoying thing is that you clear most of the mobs wiht no problem, then you get that one OP MF that has mana leech aura, slows you, and is immune to all your fuckin DMG wiht a fucking buttload of Life and ES....
If you some how survive that, you get killed by some random ass fuckin after death thing that has NO visual indication at all or just blends in with the map and you die You lose the Map, the Boss/Breach, lose ALL the Loot, and on top of all that bullshit you lose 15% FUCKING EXP GGG Better FIX this shit ASAP Last edited by Securetate#3464 on Jan 11, 2025, 9:12:58 AM
