I can't use my weapon allocated points

Hi there new player here from PH I tried POE 1 when I heard about PO2 Early access and just hours into POE 1 I bought POE 2 early access and I can't get enough of it. My issue is my character seems to think that my weapon allocated points are my normal skill points. every time I level up I can allocate it but it's spending both my weapon and normal skill points please help. I saw some threads somewhere it should reset after you leveled up but it doesn't for me. really really great game, I'm having a lot of fun looking forward to hearing from you

Look at my post in why i cannt use all weapon set? is a bug?

it doesn't work. I tried to allocate a weapon skill point after I leveled it just consumed my passive and didn't let me add the remaining points anyway. It seems to think that my passive skill point = weapon skill point
