How do we feel about concoctions being Pathfinder only?

Of course it has some big advantages, like free 6l and lvl 20, but comes with some major downsides too. For example can't corrupt to lvl 21, can't quality (at least rn) and it has a baseline cost of 2 ascendancy points. And other than poison there's just nothing really special that PF gives, it's all very generic. The slow immune is nice but honestly 4 points for 8% skill speed, slow immune and some reduced moving penalty while attacking is not worth.

If concoctions were just a skill gem, almost nobody would play it on PF, simply because Deadeye gets +2 proj, basically 200% more dmg for concoctions, so no need for scattershot = another damage link. PF just feels really meagre and boring, if concoctions weren't so strong there'd barely be anything you could do with the ascendancy, only poison stacking has some potential for other skills.

So basically if concoctions stay on PF they will always have to be strong, simply because it costs 2 asc points, which is a lot of power on other ascendancies. But that would make it the absolute no brain leaguestarter, it takes a lot of pressure away from gearing and comes online relatively fast. And managing flask cost is easier than you might think.

I just don't know how I should feel about it, rn PF is just concoctions and that's it, there's barely anything else to it. Just feels very one dimensional, it doesn't really let you do anything else and pretty much every concoction build I've seen looks exactly the same, maybe with some minor differences. Just makes it rather boring and it gets old fast.

And poison is shit anyway

@Glorfndel01#6465 nah mate, poison concoction is insane for poison, I've been playing it for about 2 weeks now, it's insanely cracked. And there's also the fart build, the one that uses Corpsewade and Sacrifice to blow up minions, which has a far higher base poison dmg than even pconc, but scales really weird.

I kind of agree. I'm fine with Poison concoction being PF only, since the Ascendency is based around poison for 50% of its nodes anyway.
All the other Concoctions should be available for all classes.

@Glorfindel: Like OP said Pconc is extremely strong. It has crazy single target dps and good clear aswell. Base poison could need some love tho.

I think it's fine
