lost all my progress trying to play on pc now

bought game on xbox. upon linking my account to steam i now no longer have access to my characters on xbox and cannot download the game on pc either. idk why GGG made this such a difficult process. terrible experience and design.

if you linked an account it likely changed what your default account is, and will be showing your roster for that new sub-account. (characters are separated by which platform you created them on)

If you can get to the character select screen on console make sure to select the correct sub-account on the upper left of the screen. that should allow you to swap between sub-accounts. (PC/Console)

If you cannot get to the character select screen on console you probably need to first create a new character. then once that character is in the starting zone exit to character select, then as above change your sub-account to be your PC one. Your existing character should then show up.

okay i will give that a try, but it does not fix the issue of me not being able to download the game on PC. when im on PC and click POE2, it says that this account does not have the game. so im just confused on that for sure
