Need Help with my KEY

Okay so I was given a key from a Twitch Streamer who told me to use it with the POE2 client. Well I misunderstood & used it in my epic account, I downloaded and installed it through EPIC. I started the game & went to login in and the first screen where you are given the choice of creating an account I thought I was creating a new account to be associated with a new POE2 account. As soon as I entered in a new account name, it kicked me to the login screen and said that "Your account does not have access to Path of Exile 2 early access. Redeem key on our Website or purchase now" So when I go to redeem key I get the key is no Invalid on the website. The key was clearly good it allowed me to download the game through EPIC, so what now? How can I fix this or am I completely screwed out of using this Key? TIA

If you have an access key, you should redeem this using the account you wish to play using. First, make sure you're logged into that account and then redeem the key here.

How can I merge the accounts when I try to redeem the Key it says it's invalid now and I can't go on to the next step. Is the Key associated to my Epic client now & that's the reason it won't validate on POE2 website? I don't know where to even start to fix this now.
