Shield Wall Scaling

Hello,

I've been toying around with the different shield skills and am trying to make heads or tails about how exactly shield wall functions.

The stated aoe does not seem to scale as well as it should from attack aoe %, certain damage increases do not affect it, like attack area damage %, it does not shotgun, it seems to have weird, unreliable damage, and it does not have the melee tag, making it difficult to increase the damage from skill levels.

I am currently using a nearly 1300 armour shield, so scaling from my shield should not be the excuse for the poor performance I'm seeing.

If anyone has any more thorough information on exactly what I can use to scale the damage, aoe, anything to make it feel more useful, please give me some insight.


p.s. I'm not talking about the current boot overkill cheese, just shield wall itself.

Thread keeps getting buried with no responses.

I know it's not part of a glamourous 1 shot the screen build or anything close to "meta", but is nobody testing this ability or worried about how poorly it's performing?

I'm viewing this early access, early patch time as a chance to test out abilities to see how they function, perform, find any bugs, etc. and so far it's radio silence about shield wall.
