Xesht Arms
So this isn't a difficulty complaint, I actually think Xesht isn't super hard at all.
But the problem is that the game is clearly designed with the intent that you can dodge most mechanics if you play right and are sometimes forced to. The thing is, Xesht often not only spams his mechanics, but overlaps them with arm spam. This leads to a situation were if you're melee, you end up just dodging infinitely or tanking some abilities if you wanna get any hit in. It overlaps A LOT, to the point that sometimes you're being hit by 3 mechanics at once. You can even get up to 5-6 mechanics in the space you do a single attack combo. And you guessed it, half of those are arms (and I'm counting 4 arms as a single mchanic, since they seem to come in combos of 4). Again, this doesn't make it nearly as unplayable as say arbiter, but it clearly and completely defeats the purpose of the boss design. Not to mention it flies on the face of the game not wanting to be as fast or overgear-focused as poe 1. Last bumped on Feb 20, 2025, 3:03:33 PM

I came here to see if anyone else is experiencing the same issue. While I agree that the fight itself isn’t particularly difficult, the arms mechanic feels heavily reliant on RNG. Sometimes the fight progresses normally, but other times it turns into an endless barrage of arms, leaving no opportunity to deal damage.
To make matters worse, the arms often overlap, making it nearly impossible to dodge out of the damage zones. Are we expected to overcome these mechanics, or is the fight designed to be a one-shot kill? |

Ha, came to see the same.
I saved up some breachstones and im doing them all now and its just arms, arms, arms, arms on top of his palm slam / summoning the other breachlords. They hit my character for a lot so im spending 90% of my time rolling around unable to attack the boss. On the upside i've gotten good at dodging them but it just seems to never end. |
