Game Mechanics should remain Within Game

I understand that trading is a big part of endganme or near endgame as the complexity of RNG on gear stats is crazier than the passive skill tree, finding that right piece of gear to help pull a build together or to elevate what already exist is that nugget of good good that can keep one playing. However the waste of time that is the Trade website with its filters to then only have to rely on another stranger to actually sell what they posted they would sell (ontop of having to be online) is so ass hat backwards to me.

First that I have to go to a website to find what I am looking for.
Second that I have to wait for that other Player to initiate.
Third that I waste time and effort when they don't initiate or do initiate but then decide to not sell or some other issue arises like they take down what they sell and mark it higher :/ scumbag behavior
Forth that I have to go back and forth between the game and the webpage not just for gear but to also check my currency to see if I even have what they are asking for.

If it exist on a website and supported by GGG, why can it not be implemented within the game? Why can there not be an auction house to view/buy items that players have put up for sale, that could be bought and sold even when the player is offline? just Why?

A lot of my confusion comes from my MMO gaming background, and now I understand the nuance of the difference in gear but there is still a Tradeable Item and a Currency as exchange. Isn't that the bare minimum for any form of Auction House?

I spend less time writing this up than I did trying to find some boots and a ring earlier today. For context this took me 30 mins to write, it took me the same amount of time to filter the trade website to find the 2 pieces of gear I mentioned, and then took another HALF HOUR for just one of those players to party me, kick me as I got to their hideout and then proceed to not trade or do anything and wasted 10 mins (which they did party and trade someone else while I was there) of that half hour just waiting with them and trying to communicate to essentially a brick wall.

In this time I could have been progressing my atlas map or enjoying something within the game, but now I don't feel like playing at all as I mentioned before the RNG insanity on gear stats and the minimal currencys collected by me to Gamba getting the stats I need is not the Grind I want in a Game but what grinds my Gears more is this Trade System.

This is outdated for sure, but it is important to start with understanding GGG's original vision for the trade economy and why there was no auction house to start with.

Some points to consider in response:

1. When comparing to MMO games with auction houses, consider that in a large number of them , the rarest/most powerful chase items are account bound either upon drop, or upon equipping. The ability to trade anything in POE is one of the things that makes hunting loot so much fun.

2. Trade is a game mechanic, and needs to be thought of as such.

*Requires time spent to understand/master/optimize
*Rewards expert users with increased profit/currency and time saved
*Is optional. You can craft your own gear, rely on drops, etc

3. As with most activities/work on PC, having 2 monitors is a huge benefit.

4. There is a auction house/currency exchange (in response to bare min.)
