Gemcutting Fails With Not Explaiation Why!

Trying to cut a level 1 support gem for "Lightning Infusion".

1) "Bow Skill" is selected
2) That skill has an empty socket
3) Cutting a "Pin" gem works

Trying to cut a "Lightning Infusion" gem fails with the totally unhelpful message "the operation could not be completed".

I'm sure the programmer who did this has a good reason why they didn't actually provde a REASON for the operation failing. :(

As a side note the gem is not being consu,ed so at least that's okay. :|
