Using the Trade or opening the forum requires SEVEN steps every time

My feedback here is not about the game but this website itself. Whether I want to access the trade tool or just participate on this forum, I need:

1- Wait a screen to verify I'm human (by doing NOTHING?), takes just a couple seconds

2- "You must sign in to your Path of Exile account to access this page" - Click Continue

3- Needs to verify I'm human AGAIN, this time I just have to tick a box

4- "Sign in to your Path of Exile account", I click on the steam button

6- "Sign into Path of Exile using your Steam account", click on sign in AGAIN

7- Path of Exile is requesting permission to access the following:
See your unique numeric identifier (SteamID) - I click on Allow

Seven steps every time. Is there a way to keep this information saved so I don't have to do all these all the time?

I too have this same multi step process.
I haven't seen a post on this, but I assume this is a brute force fix to web server traffic/service issues.

GGG allows API calls to the trade website to support things like Awakened POE and Wealthy Exile, but only with a traffic exception from those products dev teams. Requiring approval lets GGG ensure its web servers can support the amount of traffic.

Lots of people without approved traffic exceptions also set up API data requests all the time, and without some type of mechanism to block these, the website would effectively be under a constant denial of service attack.

Last month following the POE2 launch, we saw the website go down with increasing frequency, so it is a safe assumption that the increases in the requirement to validate that we are performing human/manual site interactions is a direct result of GGG attempting to fix availability issues they were experiencing.

Is it absolutely incredibly annoying, especially when trying to price check things? Yes.

Is there a more elegant solution? Probably, but I am not a webmaster, so I don't have one to offer.

They're just ignoring all posts about trading as far as i can see.

Trading on console is so unbelievably tedious and horrible, it just makes you want to put the game down and log off every time you engage with it.

Major major pain point they've completely failed to consider going into launch.
