after 300 hours in the game now

First of all, I'm currently playing a Monk character at level 93 and I've invested a lot into it l lost count of how many div i spent to be honest, My feedback is mainly about the endgame content and gear prog.

First of all, the gear system is not streamlined at all. Currently, every piece of gear I have costs around 10 or 20 Divines some are cheap around 2 to 3 div and i have to carry 2 set of gear one with for maping with a lot of rarity and one for doing high end content this annoying i have to gear twice now, and every upgrade after that will cost me about 100 to 200 Divines. There is also gear that simply doesn't exist and I can't craft it because I don't like the crafting system. There should be gear at levels 10div, 20div, 50div, and so on. I'm used to this system as I've been playing for a long time.

The endgame skill tree is set up in a backwards manner with no entry-level points. I started unlocking my first point after about 150 hours, which is way too much and exhausting. It wasn't enjoyable at all.

The maps themselves are very enjoyable, and the new system needs just a few tweaks to become great. However, what's really frustrating is that sometimes, while walking along the path, I encounter tower or map suddenly with no clear link. I don't want to stop and backtrack.

The leveling up process is extremely slow. I've been playing for 300 hours and I'm still only at level 93, despite dying only 10 or 20 times.

The time it takes to find the final boss, gather the three stones, and then have only one attempt at the end is not enjoyable at all.

Yup, agreed on all points.

I'm 250 hours in, 150+ solid into T15 maps, have found 1 citadel, found a few Audience with the King, but with the insane currency inflation going on, it made infinitely more sense to sell each audience for 6-8div rather than attempt a run.

Breachstones still not close to 300, and very little hope of finding more Citadels before I hard burn out (pretty much already there).

Leveling is much too slow, and death penalty is too penalizing considering how slow and boring leveling becomes. Yes some very die-hard players want level 100 to take 500+ hours, but most players don't.

I'd like to actually be able to reach level 100 in a softcore league once in my life without feeling like I'm literally wasting a large portion of my life doing so.

Make PoE great again.
I have 300 hours in SSF league grinding into the 90s on a grenade merc. Game knowledge is very important. If I started the EA with what I know now it would have been easy peasy (sorry, wasn't in closed beta).

Crafting has one strong point. Annointing amulets. Other than that it's straight up gambling. Magic find helps sustain mats.

Trials are goofy and so different from everything else in the game it feels alien. I know some people like them but I'm not great at Tomb Raider type games. Would be cool if you could ascend in more traditional ways.

Most of my defense is just moving out of the way of stuff. Buffing armor would help a lot. Especially for tanks.

Other than that, really enjoying the game.
I am near the same in hours played. I still have not found a seer, name citadel, etc. A ton of my map is open so I find this kinda odd. The economy is trash and has been bad since about two weeks into EA. If they let the standard go live I fear for new player retention will be non-existent.

It was about two weeks in global chat was already wanting a league. This was due to the economy being so bad. I currently wear 100 rarity with resist cap and no max-resist increases. This is not enough rarity or drop rate to build up. My gear which is not terrible but not great either is to the point I would need 3 items to upgrade to juggle resist. However, I have not seen 1 drop I would save to accomplish this feat. There is plenty on the market but ppl seem to be requesting 1+ div for side grade gear.

Divs should not be the main currency they are just to rare for most. I wish they would implement higher rarity for SSF players and I would just roll that way. I do know as mainly a solo player 100 rarity is not enough to upgrade in this market.

I do enjoy PoE 2 but the market is terrible and I really do wish they would implement something in game.
If a league lasts 3 months, even a casual who only plays 40 hours a week could get to high 90s. Level 100 should be for dedicated players. There are already 6 players who reached lvl 100 in less than a month. If anything, the progression is too fast. Stop asking for nerfs. Go play D4 if you want to get to max level super fast.

agreed
I agree with all you have said but you said that you don't like the crafting system
In my opinion the crafting system doesn't exist you are just yolo exalts and hope u get 3-4 modes you want on the right base it is so frustrating and needs ton of currencies that you must to magic find to have

40 hours playing one video game per week is an insane and unhealthy amount of time. Even 1 hour every single day is much which would be 7 hours a week. Imagine training something 1 hour each single day. You would be a master in a year and completely change life.

Oh my, casuals are being tagged to play ONLY 40 hours a week??? So if you have a job and a family and friends, you are not even considered as “casual” player if you can only put in 10-20 hrs of gaming per week???

Can these people share their schedule to balance school/work, family, friends, and more than 60 hrs per week on poe? Because i seriously tried this past month - took a month keave from work, played avg of 11 hrs a day, and i still havent got the satisfaction to complete a character (first week with a sorc which i dropped after the nerfs, then now with a ranger who can fast clear level 80 and 81 maps but still stucked on lvl 93)… this is when i decided to stop playing the game… isn’t sustainable for a working guy with family and non-gaming friends…

And whats wrong with people reaching lvl 100, we would still be grinding for gears and currency. GGG can at least provide players with some “closure” on characters by reaching level 100, before creating new ones or waiting for the next league.
