One Portal Is Bad Game Design

I'm pretty sure I just got Corpse Exploded and one-shot. Fuck me for playing melee and having the corpses right in front of me.

I can't be certain that's why I died, what with the amount of utter bullshit in this game and complete lack of defenses (I was sitting on 8k ES). I honestly question the competence of the developers that thought having one portal per map was a good idea.
