Censorship in this game is off the rails

Not sure if I am getting targeted. But I get muted pretty much instantly if I talk in global at all. Just got a 6 hour mute for saying "The Cybertruck bomber's manifesto got released today" in global 69. If you have been in G69, you know that it is filled with racist, misogynistic, extremely sexual, and abusive language and behavior. All of which I have no problem with, if someone offends or bothers me I just add them to ignore list.

I realize that GGG added "no politics" to the code of conduct when Tencent bought them to [Removed by Support]. But holy hell this feels like something else, it's being stepped up.

I don't remember it being like this in PoE1. Played for many years. This is extremely off putting. Is anyone else experiencing this?

You talked politics knowing that you'll get a mute for talking politics and someone reported you, that's all there is to it. It's cringe that someone reported it though but it is what it is.

As for poe1, which one? It wasn't that cut and dry either.

Bottom line: you're actually chatting publicly in 2025 in a f2p arpg? Hahahaha. Why. This is what guilds were for. We knew that way back in 2014 or so. Global chat went down the tubes the moment the game left closed beta and the devs themselves stopped using it.

There are decent global channels that are worth using in POE1 at least, just not the ones full of edgelords and capital G gamers.
