So to gain access to either your steam account or you standalone account they would need access to your email account as well, if you are going to change any passwords the first one would be for your email, and done from a clean device.
After that change your steam password and game password on the same clean device. Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi
