DEATH PENALTY GAME ENDING

Hi played POE 1000s of hrs now POE2 350 hrs this 10% death penalty is game ending its a negative mechanic that has no upside in anyway. It teaches nothing and discourages progression in the game. It was bad enough in poe1 now in poe2 your hit with 3 times the death penalty -10% xp you loose access to the portals with no way to get the loot that may have been dropped from killing the bosses and mobs prior to the death plus you loose all the buffs on the map node. This is one of the worst mechanic in any game i have ever played. only the top couple of % of starting players ever move beyond lev 85-90 in game and therefore never truly get to feel a sense of achievement only left with a bitter taste of wasted time and money.

so let's look at it this way

1 passive point isn't going to make your build good enough to beat the content you are failing at, the thing that is discouraging progression isn't the penalty it is that you are not learning what to do or how to counter things.

LMAO cheers for your inciteful feedback...i see your one of the so called "experts" with lots of awards and badges...your of that very small % of players that say "just get good" ...well the vast majority of people that play and spend huge amounts of money and time on the game actually do get a lot of benefit to having choices on passive tree branches that having extra levels open up. lev 95 is vastly different than lev 90 you may gain access to a completely new set of skills or buffs or options you would never even know about had you not gained those levels...and in turn you would defiantly would have a much fuller and satisfying enjoyable gaming experience.
I never understood this logic.

If 1 passive isn't going to make that much of a difference to your build, then why make it so damned difficult to obtain in the higher levels?

Hell, why does the road to 100 have to be such a grueling endeavor? You can't say it's to keep people playing, as the constant influx of threads complaining about the 10% exp penalty is a big problem for a lot of people. I'd argue that chasing 40/40 challenges in a league keeps people invested, and you can bet GGG will be rolling those out once PoE2 has its official launch.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish.
I'm level 92 and about to rage quit honestly. I haven't been able to level in days due to off screen corpse explosions. What the F kind of mechanic allows a corpse to 1 shot from off screen?
