Items on ground disappear after death in PoE2

It's stupid to have items and equipment that are on the ground disappear when you revive from death. We are losing possible good equipment all because of some stupid death penalty that shouldn't be in the game at all. This death penalty to have stuff on ground disappear when your character dies is a very poor idea. If this garbage continues I will quit! I will NOT play a game that I can't progress at!

There has been a death penalty in GGG games since the start. They will survive without you. Now, I do think losing the items is a bit much, especially during the learning period of the campaign, but it is what it is.

Wait until you see a divine disappear because you died to a hidden death effect covered by a bush on a T16 map. That's the real kick in the sack.
