Insufficient waystone drop rates

I completed Waystone tier 1 and 2 and collected 2 Tier 3 waystones.

But after completing the 2 tier 3 waystone maps, there were no further tier 3 waystones dropped BUT there was a tier 5 waystone dropped.

what is going on? why did a tier 3 map drop a tier 5 waystone? i have not finished completing 10 tier 3 maps yet. and not even started tier 4, why did it drop tier 5?

and why did it not drop tier 3 waystones? i need more tier 3 waystones.

please fix.

Insufficient is putting it politely.

Wait until you run t15s and the majority of waystones that drop are t6 or lower. I had plenty of waystones through t5, but it started to slow done from there.

Save your best maps for nodes that have a boss, you’ll have the best chance of sustaining that way, but it’s still a crapshoot.
hi thanks for the tip about saving waystones for boss maps. However, how can you tell that a map has a "boss"?

thanks!
Im playing SSF and i also partially struggled to maintain the highest level of Waystone on my way to Tier 15's. This was despite prioritizing waystone drops on my atlas.
But once i was at tier 15 and i was able to clear about 95% of my maps, i began to stuck up on waystones to the point where i have about a tab of excess tier 15 waystones right now.

Long strory short, i think the struggle was fine and a welcome obstacle to overcome since in lategame, those problems naturally disappear!
ok this is really bad now. i'm starting Tier 4 with my last tier 4 waystone and died because of explosion from boss after i killed him.

i don't have any waystones left.

i'm not in the mood to grind back up the waystone ladder starting from tier 1.

who designed this waystone thing?
This "endgame" waystone mechanic is horrible.

Do we lose experience points when we die in maps?

My experience points seems to be treading water (going nowhere fast) and/or going backwards in the endgame maps.

The maps don't have checkpoints, and you get kicked out of the map and lose your waystone when you die once, and oh to add insult to injury let's remove a big chunk of experience points just to rub salt on the wound why don't we?

Some of these maps are a huge waste of time in terms of needing to backtrack to uncover areas unexplored.

This game had potential. But the endgame is honestly horrendous and a waste of time.
