Account Merge & Steam Key Issue

I have been playing the game since the EA launch. When I initially started playing, I was using a Steam key gifted to me by a friend who purchased the highest tier supporter package. A week or so later, I decided to purchase the basic $30 supporter package myself, mainly so I could get the coins and buy some stash tab upgrades. I purchased this in-game, and I got the coins instantly.

A few days ago I decided I was going to upgrade to the next supporter package tier, but I did not have an upgrade option. Instead, it wanted me to pay the full $60. While trying to figure out why I didn't have an upgrade option, I realized it was probably because my account was still using the gifted Steam key instead of the one I received from purchasing my own supporter pack.

I logged into the website to check my account, and I saw I had a Steam key available to use, but I couldn't figure out how to use it to replace the gifted key I was already using. While looking at my account details, I noticed my account said it was not linked to Steam, so I went to link it. I received a message about another account being linked to my Steam ID instead. The screen showed me the 2 accounts, which were the same username but with different 4-digit # codes after them.

At first I was confused, so I logged out and logged back in again using my username and password and noticed that I was logged in under account 1. Then I logged out and logged back in via Steam and noticed that I was logged in under account 2.

After verifying that account 1 was the account I originally created to download the game, and account 2 was the one actually linked to my Steam ID, I chose to merge them.

Now that they are merged, anytime I login to the website using my username/password OR via Steam, I get logged into account 1 and no longer have access to the Steam key I purchased; however, when I play the game I am still playing under account 2 using the Steam key I was originally gifted.

So after all of this, I managed to merge my accounts, but now I no longer have access to my purchased Steam key, and I still cannot upgrade my supported pack version.

I have sent 2 emails to support, but I have gotten no response. Hoping I can get help here.

Ok...so minutes after posting this, I actually found how I can switch to my other account on the website. It's a pretty obvious link at the top that says "SWITCH ACCOUNT"...ugh

I do see my purchased Steam key in there again now, but I still have no upgrade option on the supporter packs. I only have to option to pay full price again.
After switching accounts on the site, logging out of the game entirely, and clearing my browser cache, I was finally able to upgrade.
