Crashing game after equipping a scepter

So, when got to level 78 as an infernalist i tried to equip a better scepter with skeletal warriors that i bought and tried to equip support gems on it like blind, cunnuling strike, etc. I couldn't equip the gems and not long after the game crashed, i tried 3 times over, tried verifying the integrity of the game and it was all ok (and yes, i serched for computer problems and its not the case), but the same problem still ocurred. could someone help with this issue?
