Why didn't I get my ascendency points?

I completed Trial of Chaos. The token said that it WOULD GIVE ascendency points. When I completed the trial, no points. Did I do something wrong or is this a bug? It was my fourth ascendency. It also happened with the other trial for my third ascendency. I understand that there is a shrine you have to click. There was no shrine.

the token is unclear.
in order to get your 4th ascendancy points, you must run a 10 room chaos trial AND have all 3 boss fragments to open the secret door at the end. This lets you fight TRIALMASTER for your 4th set of points

in order to GET the 3 boss fragments, you must complete 10 room chaos trials.


so, you should have gotten a boss fragment, now you need to get the other 2, and THEN you can do it AGAIN to get your ascend. Oh, and the fragments are RNG, so you might get duplicates before you have a full set.


This makes it 'similar' in length to sekhemas, because you have to do 4 floors if you choose that route.

I'm just not going to do it until they fix it. I'm loving this game until I have to do a trial. I just tried the other one, and got forced into afflictions that ended removing my ability to see all afflictions, all boons, and sent to rooms randomly. That isn't a trial. That's removing any and all choice and strategy. This is supposed to be a game of strategy, not coin flips.
