Left click only moves, won't attack mobs

I used to have lightning arrow on my left click and it would either shoot at a mob or move to the location. I just switched to gas arrow and I thought it would work the same but it doesn't. On left click a mob, my character just walks to it, instead of shooting. The only way it'll shoot is if I hold shift. What's going on? What am I missing?

i have never used these skills so i cant comment with 100% certainty.


however, in poe1 certain skills would work differently in the way you have described. it would often be stuff like a direct damage attack that would usually be used to directly attack a target might work differently to say a trap that was generally thrown on the floor in a location. you would find that putting them on left click would result in different behaviours.


this could be the same thing going on where the devs thinks one of these skills has different targeting priorities in how its generally used.
