Warrior Question about damage converted to fire damage

First of all I'm a beginner and have tried to set up my own build.
Currently on T4-T5 maps and not "cruising" as people would say if they breeze through the content. Every map is a struggle for survival, but very engaging gameplay (probably like 30 minutes for me to clear a map). I know many will laugh at this, but I don't really want 1 button click to clear the whole screen, which would get boring really quickly.

I have picked "Avatar of Fire" (75% of Damage Converted to Fire Damage),which looks pretty cool with flames all and burning foes all over the place.

What I'm wondering is if I pick nodes on the passive skill tree which gives +melee damage if that will be converted to fire damage as well or is it ignored?

Thank you!

If your damage is melee damage, it will apply. "Melee" isn't a damage type in this sense.

If the modifier were something like "Melee physical damage" or "Physical attack damage", then it wouldn't apply, because after the conversion the damage is no longer physical. But it wouldn't stop being "melee" or "attack" due to Avatar of Fire.
