Incorrect support gem radius cast stats. POE2

Incorrect calculations. I have a spell ring of ice ring with a radius of 3.2 meters, and with support gem on increase the radius of 40% the increase is only 0.5 meters (16%) - 3.7 in total. And with the support geme on radius decrease of 35%, the decrease is 0.7 meters (22%) - 2.5 in total.

They aren't increased or decreased "radius", they're increased and decreased "area of effect".

Effects like this in PoE1 used to apply to radius, and they were changed to apply to area of effect instead as a balance decision. It sounds like they held to this decision in PoE2 as well.

So, how i can calculate it? Seems like imposible

The area of a circle is π(r^2). The total of your increased/decreased/more/less area of effect is applied to that. To find the final radius, you'd sum up your area of effect modifiers, take the square root, and multiply by your radius (rounding down).

3.2 * sqrt(1.4) ~= 3.786, rounded down is 3.7
3.2 * sqrt(0.65) ~= 2.5799, rounded down is 2.5

Now, for the next part, I'll assume you were talking about Astral Projection and Magnified Effect supports, which are more/less modifiers--meaning they're multiplicitive to your area of effect modifier, unlike increased/decreased which would be additive.

If you used both supports, your total area modifier would be 0.65 * 1.4 = 0.91, for 9% less area of effect, and a radius of 3.0 on Ice Nova.
