Remove MF
In short: remove MF from the game in its current form.
Why? It destroys the economy and it makes every build not running heavy MF inaffective. It also makes class balance much harder (due to the fact that not all classes can run MF effectively) and moreover, solo play gets punished. Instead scale item drops (quality/quantity) by map. Not Just monster lvl (80/81/82), but also how strong monsters get or things that make the map more difficult (burning rounds, debuffs on players etc.). This way you only have to balance speed/power/survivability and classes don't have to focus on high MF or rely on party play. You can still juicy maps a little, but not enough to ruin the economy or making people feel inaffective. In my opinion this change will make the game more fun for the majority of players and I feel this will make the game fun also in the long run. Last bumped on Jan 2, 2025, 7:29:59 AM

You do not understand how MF works. Big dps with fast clear speed gets just as much loot as high MF. The build being able to deal high dps with high mf is the problem, not mf.

Just my 2 cents, Rarity is busted in the current form.
I get more loot per Act area on my level 40-50 Merc with 100% rarity than on my Level 89 Warrior clearing t12-t14 It feels like a waste of time to play the Titan with Giant's Blood - it means I need suffixes that are all STR + Res - no space for rarity I feel like I remember something about MF not counting for Currency but it seems to in PoE 2. It doesn't seem right that It drops more Orbs for my level 40 character than in high tier maps. 10 maps on level 89 str stack Warrior, ~2-3 exalted orbs act areas on leveling Merc 30-50 with rarity, ~20 exalted orbs lmao It seems to be most comfy to play with 2 friends, it drops exalts more often then. I like that party play is rewarding, I dislike that the base Rarity level is so low that playing solo feels like a noob trap. |

" You clearly do not understand how it works. It works off of killing blow. I can have a 1DPS culler that has all MF and run with a friend, as long as I am culling and getting the Killing Blow then magic find works. It should be removed completly, forcing players (Yes if you want to compete you are forced, i'll fight anyone who argues this point) to build a MF character or find some way to do so is just a complete joke. |

I totally agree with the OP. The only thing I would add is to allow for targeted crafting as opposed to the RNGfest we have now. Unless I have totally missed something, the only real kind of targeting we have now been essences.
If they did those two things, I would start playing again. As it sits right now, I am about to try out some 7d2d DF. |

Do you really want to run 50 maps and get nothing? The whole point of POE and its loot systems is for dopamine hits.
The problem isn't rarity or any form of it its the builds that clear Breaches with one button killing 100x more monsters than the average person not playing these "Meta" builds. Fix those and everything else falls back in line. |

Remove broken builds that clear entire screens in one click. Thats the problem not rarity.
