"(Username) is not online" when people try to whisper me (intermittent)

When people try to whisper me, most of the time the message goes not go through and they receive a "-My username- is not online." message.

This makes it impossible to hold conversations with people in game and I feel like it is also stopping me from receiving whispers regarding trades.

I should have specified that this relates to PoE 2 early access.

Is anyone else having this issue or is it just my account? It's really hard to trade with this ongoing.
