Trial of Chaos "tutorial" too overtuned to block ascendancies
The first character that got there was a phys-build mercenary and I did it on level and first try, and it wasn't too difficult. But I guess it's because I got the chimera boss (Annoying but, not difficult) and the character itself is very, very strong.
Then I got there with a cold mage and it was so horrible I made a ranger out of being tired. With a poison ranger (Which I am feeling is strong as a character for the campaign) I struggle but achieve to get to 1st boss, and then a new one appears from the pool of bosses I don't have experience with. That is if the modifiers weren't so bad I just die as some of them literally just kill you if you pick them. Too many enemies, they hit too hard and stun too much, the bosses hit way too hard and too big, and you cannot get experience with them as they both randomize and make you repeat the trial to get to them again. I feel like for the tutorial trial, a checkpoint before the boss makes sense, as "oh this new attack pattern you don't know killed you! Now try randomly getting reasonable modifiers again" is frustrating. And also I got three game crashes in 6 tries, and the progress is not saved between rooms so, yeah overall very much should change from alpha to future versions to make it enjoyable. UPDATE: Did it after getting the easy yet boring chimera boss that flies all around, almost couldn't because my flaks would not regen anything (My less painful modifiers were TWICE reduced regen). It does not feel satisfying even after the 2nd character that I do it "on level". Last edited by Le_pit#5889 on Dec 30, 2024, 1:19:55 PM Last bumped on Dec 30, 2024, 12:18:26 PM
