Gain 1 Rage on Hit corrupted implicit not working.

I have corrupted a Pillar of the Caged God to have "Gain 1 Rage on Hit", but it doesn't seem to actually work.

I've tested it with Tempest Flurry and Rage support. Without the support, using the corrupted weapon, I don't generate any Rage, be it from Tempest Flurry hits, Charged Staff hits, Herald of Thunder hits or Tempest Bell hits. With the support, I generate 3 Rage per Tempest Flurry hit as expected.
