Monk Spirit Issue
Something weird is currently going on with my invoker monk at the moment. I was working my way up through the endgame then all of a sudden a few hours ago I started dying and burning alot of maps. In looking at it closer there is something wrong with my spirt numbers. I am currently sitting at 148 spirit according to the game when fully geared. Without any gear on I am at 100 spirit. I am speced into "Lead me through Grace" and "and Protect me from Harm" and when fully geared I am at 553 Energy Shield and 1642 evasion. I am unable to run all the persistent skills I need so my build is basically dead in the water. I am pasting the stats from by gear below and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Helm 259 evasion, 98 energy shield Chest 372 evasion, 145 energy shield Gloves 82 evasion, 34 energy shield Boots 188 energy shield amulet 16 energy shield ring 1 29 evasion ring 2 9 evasion Last bumped on Dec 31, 2024, 4:49:13 PM

Sorry but you need to reread the actual Ascendancy choice, it is based on your body armour evasion and energy shield, not your total of either of those.
so its only scaling off body Armour which would be a chest plate? its just says equipt body armour thats kinda vague
It says... Gain 1 Spirit every 6 Nergy shield on equipped body armour Gain 1 Spirit for every 15 evasion rating on equipped body armour. cannot gain spirit for equipment. Kinda confusing |
I'm not sure how that's confusing.
You get 1 Spirit for every 6 Energy Shield on your equipped Body Armour. You also get 1 Spirit for every 15 Evasion Rating on your equipped Body Armour. It doesn't matter what your total ES or Evasion is, since the ascendancy doesn't say anything about your total ES or Evasion. It also prevents you from gaining Spirit from your equipment, so you can't get more Spirit from a Sceptre, from a body armour affix, or from an amulet, for example. You'd just have the base Spirit you get from the campaign plus the Spirit from the ascendancy passive (which isn't equipment). |
yeah so it seems it only comes from the chestplate or body armour, i though all armour not just chest as it said "body" armour.

Get yourself a chest with 1600+ evasion on it and your spirit will no longer be an issue
okay so after further investigation into my low spirit issue, the gear has to have both evasion rating and energy shield to count towards spirit pts for anyone wondering
"after reading the passive, I have learned exactly what the passive says is what I need to do" cmon bro
" Even though it seems you sorted it out, it doesn't need to have both. I have 1941 Evasion and no energy shield at all on my "chestplate" as you call it and that gives me 229 total Spirit ( so +129 from the item itself due to high evasion ). But yes wherever you see "body armor" it basically means the chest piece :), different game different lingo, you'll get used to it. |
