Endgame challenges only having 1 try

Hello,

I am a standard softcore Path of Exile 2 player, and I’ve been enjoying the game a lot. Recently, I’ve been exploring the endgame content and tackling pinnacle bosses.

For instance, I really enjoyed the Breachstone boss—its clear patterns made it an engaging fight. After completing all four Breachstones to enhance my Breaches, I moved on to Delirium content. I farmed Simulacrum Splinters to enhance my Delirium maps, even though I could have sold the Splinters for 3 divines. Unfortunately, I died during the Simulacrum and didn’t get another attempt, losing all my effort.

Next, I tried fighting the Arbiter of Ash. I farmed and traded for the necessary fragments to access the encounter. Since I prefer experiencing fights blind (without watching guides), I went in unprepared for the first mechanic

, and I ended up dying. That was another expensive attempt lost while simply trying to learn the fight.

Determined, I farmed more currency to try again. Armed with knowledge of the first mechanic, I entered the fight a second time. Unfortunately, I died to the second mechanic

. It triggered right after the first mechanic ended, and I didn’t have time to get into position.

I really appreciate the idea of enhancing events through challenging endgame content, but only having one attempt per key is incredibly punishing. Farming or trading for these keys takes significant effort, and losing them in a single try can be disheartening.

I would recommend implementing a system where players get a second chance for the same event. For example: if you fail a Breachstone, the next Breach you complete could drop another Breachstone for the same difficulty, at least for the first and second tiers.

As a standard/trade player, I can farm or trade for these keys, but solo self-found players might spend days—if not a week, just to farm a single entry. Losing it all to an unknown mechanic or realizing you aren’t tanky enough for the Simulacrum feels unnecessarily punishing.

I suspect many standard players will end up selling their entries to veterans rather than risking valuable keys, which seems counterproductive to the goal of enjoying the content.

Thanks for considering this feedback.
