Solar amulet not adding spirit to my spirit gage

I found that without my Grim Rosary Solar Amulet I have 14 spirit and when equipping the +15 spirit amulet did not add spirit to my gage but all the other stats on the amulet was adding has anyone had this issue or is it just me?
