Just a Progression Suggestion

The XP loss when you die in Maps combined with the horrible XP gain rates means I am basically stuck and cannot progress in the game. I get instantly one hit by basic enemies 10 levels lower and lose 10% of my xp and all I am trying to do is farm for waystones to progess. I cant even do that because of how hard everything hits and how much xp I lose when I die. The endgame is way to unforgiving and I am not having any fun getting bent over every single map I try. Plus I lose the map modifiers so its just a blank space that I have to try over and over, wasting waystones, just to move to the next and get one hit again. Sorry for the rant but this has been a sore point after over 100 hours of loving every second of this game so far.
