Unable to Claim 5th and 6th Ascendancy Points

After completing my lv75 trial of chaos on my sorc I claimed my items, went to the altar to claim my ascendancy points, didn't claim them, walked over to the trialmaster's tower door to check it out and am no longer able to interact with the ascendancy point altar or the trial guy. I am able to interact with items on the ground and hovering over the "The Temple of Chaos" portal it does highlight the text so it seems I will still be able to interact with it to leave. The trialmaster's tower door also still highlights when I mouseover it just as it did before. All functions of my characer (move, attack, inventory) are still working. Detail included in case the information helps with any troubleshooting/debugging.

Update/Closeout: The ascendancy points were claimed but for some reason I was able to allocate them through the "Refund Passives" menu with Doryani. I don't remember if there was a notification that you have unused ascendancy points at the bottom of the screen similar to atlas and normal passive skill tree points but I did not have that for the 2 ascendancy points.
